World War II

World War II Units

As all of you know wars are tragedy started by humanity. Today we are going to talk about World War 2.

Let’s start with the basics, the troops. (Duh read the title) In the second book we’re covering WWII equipment & weaponry.

Infantryman
INFANTRYMAN/FOOT SOLDIER
The most versatile soldier in the army.
The infantryman can carry quite a lot of gear including LMG’s, SMG’s, MG’s, Semi-automatic Rifles, Fully-automatic rifles, Sniper rifles, Grenades, Mines, etc.
The infantryman is the backbone of the army. #INFANTRY#
The infantryman is the most basic troop. Every army has it.
Paratrooper
Literally a better version of an infantryman. Dropped from the sky using parachutes and a plane. The paratrooper can’t carry as much gear as the infantryman. The allies’ paratrooper units were called the Airborne. Thanks to the Airborne the Axis powers were destroyed, some of the operations were called Operation Husky, Avalanche, Neptune, Overlord, Market Garden and Varsity.
Tank crewman
Tank crewmen and tanks in general spread terror on the battlefield and in the trenches, now, imagine yourself in a broken home suddenly a tank comes out of the bushes you’re lucky you’ve survived that, because all your friends got crushed, you hide behind a wall, feeling safe, a couple seconds later a tank comes you think it’s not going to turn it’s cannon, but... you were wrong slowly, slowly but surely it’s cannon turns around you’re no more you have no were to run but lucky you, he didn’t see you but the machine gunner did, he shot you in the leg. You pretend to be dead. One of your fearless friends was hiding when he saw you he ran to get you to your base. The machine gunner saw your friend and killed him. Struggling to get him off the drove over you... You’re no more.
Fighter pilot
The most glorious one flying in the air firing machineguns... umm yes sorry to ruin your dreams Snoopy but a pilot’s average lifetime 7-8 hours...
Oh OK OK RED BARON BUT YOU STILL DIED IN THE WAR THE FIST WORLD WAR... SO BE QUIET
Fighter planes were made to be swift and quick... and yes... some of them dropped BOMBS.
Bomber pilots
Talk about bombs... and the Blitz trust me you wouldn’t want to live during the Blitz anyway let’s move on so bomber pilots dropped bombs... but what’s the point of planes made to drop bombs when fighter planes are swifter, faster and can drop bombs you ask. Well bomber planes can drop tonnes of bombs, literally tonnes.
